Ammerbuch Residence

Exterior Gendai Cladding

Ammerbuch, Germany

Project Overview

Nakamoto Forestry is proud to present another stunning example of the successful integration of traditional Japanese woodcraft into contemporary architecture in Ammerbuch, Baden-Württemberg. Located in the picturesque region of the Swabian Alb, Ammerbuch is known for its charming landscapes and proximity to the vibrant city of Tübingen.

Our Gendai reference project showcases the beauty and versatility of the Yakisugi technique, where wood is charred to enhance its durability and visual appeal. The house features a dark, textured facade that stands in striking contrast to the surrounding light-colored buildings. The deep tones of the charred Gendai wood lend the structure a timeless elegance while complementing its modern design lines.

Gendai cladding not only enhances the building’s aesthetics but also contributes to its longevity. The harmonious blend of traditional Japanese craftsmanship and modern construction creates a unique, inviting atmosphere.

This project in Ammerbuch exemplifies how Nakamoto Forestry adapts traditional techniques to meet modern needs, offering sustainable, durable, and visually appealing solutions.
